About

My name is Alexander Stopher and I’m a 22-year-old BSc Games Technology (computer science but with a focus on games programming and theory) student at the University of the West of England, in my second year.

I’m from Guernsey but live in Bristol (U.K) for university. I love to program in my spare time (anything ranging from games to websites) but consider myself a specialist in computer security (which I find helps me develop secure applications, absent from most of the security issues that quite a few developers I see include in their software).

My other hobbies include reading, current affairs, computer gaming, and astrophotography (see my astrophotography page for some of my photos!). My other interests include physics, engineering, and space exploration. I love science fiction (esp. Star Trek).
